Choose the character before spending the balance

Start with a restaurant job you want to improve. A cooking character is a useful goal when patties are holding up service; another crew may need cleanup or utility instead. The character and perk roster makes that choice easier before you save toward a price.

The gameplay below connects class selection with the lobby and the shift you enter afterward.

Earn the currency the class menu uses

Doubloons unlock characters and skins. Use lobby Tasks and achievement goals to work toward a balance, then claim available rewards. The Doubloon earning guide explains the reward sources without confusing them with the cash left on dining tables.

For scale, the reviewed base prices include Jim at 150 Doubloons, Patrick at 850 and SpongeBob at 2,500. These are different saving goals, so decide whether an earlier purchase will help you enough to delay the larger one.

Complete the purchase in Classes

Return to the lobby, open Classes, select the intended character and compare its displayed Doubloon price with your balance. Use the class purchase shown there. Then use the character selection for your next run rather than assuming a skin purchase or a Night Shop upgrade unlocked the same thing.

If the balance is short, return to a reward objective you can complete. Optional paid Doubloon packs are another spending decision; they are not required to understand the class menu or begin practicing a shift.

Keep the next goal focused

After unlocking a class, play the job its perk helps before immediately shopping for another character. That gives the purchase a purpose. Use the class comparison when you need to choose between a cooking improvement, crew support and another specialist rather than simply selecting the next price in the menu.
